Heritage Festival 2016
The 2016 Heritage Festival invited participants to dig up their past and re-explore their region with the theme Discovery and Rediscoveries.
In this 60th year of the National Trust in Victoria we celebrated Discovery and Rediscoveries. This encompassed the experience of discovering something for the first time or rediscovering something that has been lost, forgotten or concealed. The 2016 Heritage Festival invited communities across the state to celebrate new and rediscovered stories of their local history.
What stories are waiting to be unearthed in your community? How have old stories been rediscovered for new generations? From lost landscapes to forgotten byways, what is waiting to be rediscovered in your community?
