A strolling celebration of the introduction of decimal currency to Australia on 14 Feb 1966, and the key role played by Geelong designer Stuart Devlin, experience it through the street art of Michael Cassar.

The Geelong Branch of the National Trust invites you to join us on a stroll around the street art of Michael Cassar that celebrates a local hero – Stuart Devlin.

Devlin was the man who designed the ‘tails’ side of the first decimal currency coins introduced on 14 Feb 1966. Stuart is one of the key identities in Geelong’s UNESCO City of Design landscape.

Walking in small groups you will seek the answers to a quiz, before meeting up with the others for a complimentary drink (wine/beer/soft) in the heritage-listed Geelong Club in Brougham Street.

Kick off your Saturday night with a little learning, some social interaction and a bit of history!
