Learn how to ‘listen’ to an object and discover how one object can tell us multiple different things about the past depending on what questions we ask it.
What to expect
Themed around technology and entertainment, this History in a Box event is a 90-minute program that explores a selection of objects from the National Trust Collection. Aimed at teens and above, this experience invites participants to learn how to listen to the stories of objects using a material culture approach – finding out what objects can tell us about society, culture and change.
