Experience the warmth and history of Como House in the soft glow of summer twilight, on this exclusive members-only tour.
Members will be greeted at the Como Avenue gates by two costumed guides, stepping into the roles of a servant and mistress of the house. From there, it’s a guided wander through one of Melbourne’s most iconic historic homes.
The tour includes areas not usually open on regular house tours, such as the Tower and the Tweeny Room — a small space once used by a young servant-in-training, tucked up a steep flight of stairs with views over the garden.
Como House has been part of the National Trust of Victoria since its foundation 70 years ago and was the first house museum in Australia acquired with its original furnishings and everyday objects. Together, these items tell the story of the Armytage family, who lived at Como House for nearly a century.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning with fresh eyes, it’s a chance to see Como in a new light.
