Visit Waller House, an expression of the arts and crafts spirit, where the studios of two of Australia’s foremost artists showcase their creative practice
The art of Napier and Christian Waller is a profound reminder of the connection between the creative and the everyday. Their murals, mosaics and stained-glass paintings – on which they sometimes collaborated – grace many prominent buildings in Victoria, such as the Melbourne Town Hall, the State Library of Victoria, murals in the department store Myer, University of Melbourne and many places of worship around the state.
The home they shared was an expression of their creative lives. Decorated by the couple and furnished with bespoke furniture the house represents their commitment to the arts and crafts ethos.
