2012 marks fifty years since the publication of the ground-breaking local history A History of Brighton by Professor Weston Bate. Fifty years later how has local history changed? Come and be part of this stimulating and celebratory conference to be presented and debated by luminaries in local history – with a mix of panel sessions and extended papers – commencing with an exhibition opening and the Wolskel Lecture on Friday evening and concluding with a dinner at the Melbourne Savage Club on Saturday evening.
