Gallipoli Oaks Project benefits from generosity of the Danks Trust

The National Trust is thrilled to have the generous support of the Danks Trust, who will provide $10,000 towards the Gallipoli Oaks Project. The project seeks to encourage primary schools in Victoria to commemorate the ANZAC Centenary (2014-2018) by reflecting on the inspiring story of the Gallipoli Oaks, which were grown from acorns sent home by soldiers at Gallipoli.

Primary schools are invited to register for their own Gallipoli Oak to commemorate the ANZAC Centenary in 2015.

Over 250 schools across Victoria have already registered to receive a:
Gallipoli Oak seedling, for use in a commemorative planting ceremony
Plaque to mark the significance of the tree
Support from a RSL Sub-branch in your area to run the ceremony
Horticultural advice sheet, to aid in the care of your Gallipoli Oak
Digital e-book of The Gallipoli Oaks Story: How the trees came to grow here
Digital teacher resource kit for classroom use, tailored to the Grade 3 Curriculum.
