The song may be more than 100 years old but it continues to thrill generations of children.
Now a story book has been created, based on the timeless tale of the Teddy Bears’ Picnic, set in the magical surroundings of Rippon Lea Estate. Children are encouraged to bring their own teddies for a live reading of the story by the National Trust’s Matt Chester and illustrator Joleen Jenkin inside the mansion, and then explore the gardens that inspired it. Children’s activities include drawing a scene from the story.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase after the reading. Suitable for children aged three to seven years. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This special reading of Teddy Bears’ Picnic is part of the Glen Eira Storytelling Festival.
