Fetch your favourite ted and join us for an open-air market & BBQ at Rippon Lea Estate

To keep everyone safe (including Teddy!), we have made some changes to our Teddy Bears’ Picnic for 2021. While it will be a little different to normal, it will still be a fun-filled family day out at Rippon Lea.

Rose Street Market will be holding an open-air makers’ market with over 40 quality stalls and the Rotary Club of Glen Eira will be cooking up a BBQ storm, raising funds for the local community.

You and Teddy can explore the beautiful grounds, enjoy the sounds of the Salvo’s Big Band and join our Teddies competition which will be moving online for 2021.

Entries close at 1.30pm, winners announced at 2pm.

Entry is by gold coin donation and Teddies enter free!

  • Tea Room: Please note that the Tea Rooms are open for takeaway hot and cold drinks, ice cream, and biscuits. Sandwiches and cakes will be on offer when available. Takeaway drinks and food can be enjoyed on the main mansion veranda where tables and chairs will be provided to soak up the beautiful views of the garden.
  • The Gatehouse Gift Shop: There is a lovely selection of gifts and homewares to suit everyone’s taste.
  • The Gatehouse Nursery: Here you will find a wonderful variety of plants for sale.

National Trust Members receive 10% off all purchases on the presentation of their membership card.
