Members Event: Interpreting Shared Histories

6 Dec 2023

1:00 pm ‐ 2:00 pm

FREE NTAV Member Event

NTAV Members are invited to join our Advocacy Strategic Manager, Maddi Moore, for a walk and talk through McCrae Homestead.

First Nations perspectives have often been rendered minority histories in the presentation of Australian History due to the way Western scientific evidence and monumental forms of heritage, have been favoured throughout Australian history-making. Join us for a walk and talk at McCrae Homestead, where the National Trust is exploring how interpretation practises can be applied at colonial heritage properties to recognise Indigenous histories and values. Find out about the challenges and possibilities of incorporating multiple cultural perspectives into interpretations and how shared history theory can expand our understanding of Australian History.
