Experience Victoria's living heritage in action at one of the state's most significant historic farm complexes.

Step back in time and experience Victoria’s rich rural heritage at Heritage Trades Day at Gulf Station, a special open day celebrating 50 years of National Trust care and stewardship of Gulf Station. Set within one of the Yarra Valley’s most significant historic farm properties, this family-friendly event showcases the traditional trades, tools and crafts that helped build and sustain rural communities for generations.

Discover traditional trades, tools and rural skills through live demonstrations from blacksmiths, lacemakers, wool spinners, rope makers, coopers, basket weavers, spoon carvers and more. Explore steam machinery displays, heritage craft demonstrations, seedling and plant sales, and learn about the future of heritage conservation through the Heritage Futures Project.

With live bush band music, food vendors, coffee, family-friendly activities and the historic surrounds of Gulf Station, this unique event offers a fascinating day out for history lovers, families, makers and gardeners.
