This Halloween, bring the whole family to the beautiful Labassa Mansion for an evening of fun, laughter and a touch of gentle spookiness. One of Melbourne’s most magnificent historic homes, Labassa’s French Renaissance-style interiors are the perfect backdrop for a night filled with costumes, games and memories to treasure.
Your evening begins with a friendly greeting from the always-entertaining Labassa Lurch at the grand front door. We invite everyone to join in the spirit of the night by dressing up in your favourite Halloween style – from cheeky pumpkins to friendly witches. (Please note: stiletto heels are not permitted inside the mansion.)
What’s On
- Games Corner – play “Put a Kiss on the Frog” or “Bow Tie on the Skeleton” with prizes for the winners.
- Storytelling Corner – gather in the Drawing Room for Halloween tales perfect for young listeners.
- Face Painting – become a butterfly, superhero, or friendly ghost in the Dining Room.
- Family Photo Corner – take a fun keepsake snap with the Addams Family cut-out.
- Spooky Music – fun, not frightening, tunes playing through the house.
- Garden Scavenger Hunt – follow the clues to find treats like gummy teeth, frogs and eyeballs.
- Best Dressed Competition – prizes for the most creative costumes.

- Session 1: 4.30pm-5.30pm
- Session 2: 6.00pm-7.00pm
Ticket Inclusion
Tickets include soft drink refreshments and light entertainment for children throughout the evening. With just 60 guests per session, it’s an intimate and relaxed event where kids can play, parents can enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and families can celebrate together.
