Mrs Lenoard’s Plum Pudding

Live from the heritage kitchen at Como House

Sat, 21 Nov 2020 3:00 PM – 4:00 pm

Fancy creating Christmas culinary delights of Christmas past?

Enjoy working alongside ‘Cook’ and create Christmas cheer of yesteryear. Hear fascinating tales of Victorian traditions and kitchen lore as you are guided through the baking process, from measuring ingredients to presentation.

Our recipe comes from a never before published Victorian manuscript – a treasure in the National Trust’s collection. A handwritten cookbook of recipes passed down from generation to generation. Mrs Lenoard shared her Plum Pudding recipe with the Tuckwell girls before they emigrated to Australia in the 1850s. You can now sample an authentic tried and tested recipe that is over 170 years old.

We will send you the recipe and ingredients list to help you pre-plan for the cook-along.

Join us live on Zoom for an hour of Christmas cheer and interact via the webinar chat during the food preparation.
