Two members of the Wimmera Branch traveled to Maldon in May to attend the National Trust Branches Forum. As part of the day Branch members had the opportunity to ride a vintage steam train with carriages dating back to the 1880s.
Wimmera & Region Branch
The Wimmera Branch is the Trust’s voice in the region and works with the community on local heritage issues. New members are always welcome at any of the Branch’s meetings and events.
The Wimmera Branch went back to the '50s as part of the 2016 National Trust Heritage Festival to celebrate the formation of the Trust in 1956.
School Walking Tours
Members of the Branch took students from Horsham Primary School for a walking tour of their town in May. Students were taken to the Queen Victoria Oval, Youngs Bazaar, and the Library - former site of the town's Temperance Hall pictured to the right. For more information on these tours please contact the Branch.
