Wimmera & Region Branch

Join us on Sunday 10 November for our ‘It’s Not Quite Christmas’ function to celebrate the end of 2019 at the historic Longerenong Homestead. Event attendees will enjoy Christmas themed refreshments and a tour of the homestead and the gardens, with the opportunity to learn more about the Homestead and the broader history of the region. Bookings essential.

Two members of the Wimmera Branch traveled to Maldon in May to attend the National Trust Branches Forum. As part of the day Branch members had the opportunity to ride a vintage steam train with carriages dating back to the 1880s.

The Wimmera Branch went back to the '50s as part of the 2016 National Trust Heritage Festival to celebrate the formation of the Trust in 1956.

Members of the Branch took students from Horsham Primary School for a walking tour of their town in May. Students were taken to the Queen Victoria Oval, Youngs Bazaar, and the Library - former site of the town's Temperance Hall pictured to the right.
