Entry to Rippon Lea Estate with a Glen Eira & Port Phillip Garden Entry card is subject to the following conditions of entry.

  1. To be eligible for the Garden Access Scheme, applicants must be permanent residents within either the Port Phillip Council or Glen Eira Council. Individuals who are visiting or working within either council do not meet the eligibility requirements.   
  2. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. 
  3. The expiry date of the Garden Entry Card is determined by the agreement between the respective Council and the National Trust of Australia (Victoria). If the agreement is extended, cardholders will be notified and required to update their digital Garden Access Card accordingly. 
  4. If the council terminates the agreement, all Garden Access Cards will be terminated accordingly.  
  5. Residents are required to present a valid Garden Entry Card to access the gardens. 
  6. Garden Entry Cardholders must be prepared to present proof of current address upon arrival to Rippon Lea Estate. Valid proof of address documents include:  
    • Victorian Driver’s License or Learners Permit 
    • Australian Passport 
    • Residential tenancy agreement 
    • Rates or utility bill 
  7. Free garden entry to Rippon Lea is subject to exceptions including market days, special events and exhibitions. In these cases, general admission fees apply. Information regarding the ticketing and fees will be available via the relevant event ticketing page. Garden Cardholders are welcome to contact bookings@nattrust.com.au with any questions.  
  8. Access to the mansion is via guided tour. Cardholders are subject to a seperate fee for house and garden tours. Further information can be found onsite or via the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) website.  
  9. Garden Entry Cardholders must adhere to Rippon Lea Estate conditions of entry which can be found onsite or via the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) website. 
  10. Guests of Garden Entry Cardholders are required to pay the general admission fees. 
  11. Garden Entry Cards are non-transferable and can only be used by the registered resident. 
  12. Cardholders are responsible for ensuring that their details are up to date by advising Gatehouse staff or contacting membership@nattrust.com.au. 
  13. In the event a Garden Entry Cardholder relocates outside of the Glen Eira or Port Phillip Council boundaries, their card becomes invalid immediately.  
  14. As of March 2025, digital cards will be issued to all current and future Garden Entry Cardholders. 
  15. The NTAV may terminate a Garden Entry Card if a Cardholder fails to comply with these terms and conditions or fails to comply with the NTAV ticketing Terms & Conditions of purchase/entry at properties.
