Meet the author and hear the story in the gardens of Rippon Lea Estate.

Inspired by Rippon Lea’s iconic Teddy Bears’ Picnic event, this delightful story Elm & Willow’s Adventures at Rippon Lea: Teddy Bears’ Picnic is illustrated by Melbourne local and friend of Rippon Lea, Joleen Jenkins. Elm & Willow are best bear friends. They set out one morning to explore the grounds of Rippon Lea and along the way meet some helpful – and not so helpful – animal accomplices.

This is an outdoor event – please bring a seat or comfy cushion to sit on. Visitors are welcome to stay on after the story reading to further explore the gardens of Rippon Lea.

Tickets are child tickets with ONE parent/guardian accompanying free of charge.

This event is being held as part of the 2023 Australian Heritage Festival running from Tuesday 18th April to Thursday 18th May. See more events being held in the Festival via this link.
