The Old Sweet Shop built in 1946 was originally the post office at Moonta Mines.

The Old Railway Station built and opened in 1909, replaced original station built in 1878.

The School of Mines was opened in 1891 for practical training in mining .

The house is a distinctive Mediterranean character, open brickwork parapet in soft terracotta colours.

The original mine office and workshop exhibits displays of the Burra copper mining area, 1845-1877.

The Burra Mine Site Grassland protects native grassland habitat as well as our mining heritage.
