Help to ensure the future success of the Trust and preserve our heritage for future generations.

Bequests, or gifts by Will, have become increasingly important in supporting the National Trust of South Australia’s work in advocacy, conservation and education. Without the generosity of Australians who care for and value our heritage, the history and culture we treasure would be lost. Every gift, whether large or small, is welcomed and valued.

Your bequest will enable the National Trust to continue its work in the following Core Programs:

  • Maintain and provide community access to the National Trust of South Australia’s large portfolio of heritage places, buildings of interest, nature reserves and trails.
  • Care for the Trust’s collection of works of art, furniture, decorative arts and other materials that relate to historic properties.
  • Implement and resource interpretation, education and learning programs to support curriculum guidelines and meet the needs of communities.
  • Protect the National Trust of South Australia’s natural reserves that contain precious flora and fauna and ensure that their environment and habitats are protected for future generations.

A bequest is one of the most effective ways in which you can help to ensure the future success of the Trust and preserve our heritage for future generations.

How to give

A bequest must be included in your Will. Some people instruct that their bequest be used for a property, collection, landscape or program that has a special meaning to them; whilst other people simply want their bequest used for the National Trust’s priorities at the time.

You can make a bequest to the National Trust of South Australia.

An example of wording is: I give and bequeath to the National Trust of South Australia, ABN 45 432 652 725 of 154 Tynte Street, North Adelaide SA 5006 [insert form of gift e.g. sum of money, percentage of residuary estate, other] for its general purposes.
