Asset Protection Zone

Bushfires are a natural cycle of the Australian landscape, however they pose a threat to properties, homes and human life. To minimise the threat of fire on an asset, an Asset Protection Zone (APZ) is created.

By maintaining an APZ, vegetation does not assist in providing a path for the transfer of fire to an asset.

Bushland Management Services have created and maintained many APZ’s for various local government areas around Sydney. We use a variety of fire management methods, such as thinning shrubs, manual removal of fuel material and mowing grass, and we have a number of tools at our disposal, including brushcutters, high volume spray units and a ride on mower.
