Calling all dogs, hounds, pups, mutts, doggos and pooches to celebrate International Dog Day with their humans at Retford Park.

In celebration James Fairfax’s adoration of his dogs, we invite you and your furry friends to join the festivities at historic Retford Park.

Browse a range of stalls selling a variety of dog-related goodies and services and enjoy free garden tours for pups and their humans, competitions, a fun agility course and impressive demonstrations. Located in stunning surrounds, International Dog Day is the perfect day out for the whole family.

 

What’s On:

  • Free garden tours for dogs and their humans: Every 30 minutes from 10:30am – 2:30pm
  • Fun agility course contest: Test your pup’s skills at 11:00am & 1:00pm
  • Dog sport demonstrations: Catch them at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm & 1:30pm
  • Puppy paw painting: All day – take home a paw-some keepsake!
  • Off-leash area with stick and ball library: All day
  • Competitions: From 12:00pm – Categories include: Best Hairdo / Grooming and Best Dressed / Fancy Dress
  • Market stalls: Browse a selection of pet-themed goodies, treats and services from: Bong Bong Veterinary Hospital, Bowral Co-op, Dogue Country Retreat, Hills Pet Nutrition, Kotes by Kobe, Paws and Whiskers Pet Care Services, Pups and More, RSPCA, Sahara K9 Co, Sassy Treats, Savvy Shots, Serenity Scent Work, The House of Hamlet, Val Ward Enterprises, Will’s Kitchen and Wolf Gang Bakery.

Guidelines for dog owners

  • Dog owners are responsible for their dog’s behaviour at all times.
  • Dogs must remain on a lead (except in designated off-leash area).
  • No retractable leads.
  • Dogs must be vaccinated, socialised and non-aggressive.
