This gracious mansion retains the style and elegance of the Victorian era and is ideal for weddings, due to the location of a pretty chapel on site. The drawing room is also perfect for a large formal dinner or dance.
Set across 6 acres of tree-studded land the house has truly stood the test of time, the house and garden are a beautiful backdrop for an Event. Marquees may be set up outside giving you more space for a larger party.
Built in the early 1840’s, the Hunter Valley property, Tomago House was conceived as the centrepiece of an extensive agricultural estate and the country residence of one of the colony’s leading politico-legal figures the Windeyers. This gracious sandstone villa is noted for it’s fine verandahs and interiors which reflect the lives and times of a family of status. It’s family chapel and remnants of the nineteenth century pleasure gardens add to the timeless, tranquil and serenely gracious estate.
Tomago House is available for a limited number of weddings each year.
Viewings are by appointment.
The grounds, attic, cellars and chapel open to the public every Sunday from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm.
