Mr Carroll said that the following appointments had been made in consequence of the retirements:

  • Mr Alan Kerr, the incumbent Appointed Director (being the Director appointed, under the National Trust Act, by unanimous decision of the Elected Directors), has resigned from that position and been appointed to fill the casual vacancy in the Elected Directors caused by Mr Godden’s retirement. Mr Kerr will serve for the balance of the term which Mr Godden would otherwise have served, and will stand for re-election at the upcoming 2014 Board Elections.
  • KateDezarnaulds Ms Kate Dezarnaulds has been appointed to fill the casual vacancy in the Elected Directors caused by the retirement of Ms Christie. Ms Dezarnauldsis a Bachelor of Art History and Art Theory (2001) and a Master of Art – Art Business (2002). She is a Director of the award-winning TEDxSydney Partnership team and was, until recently, Head of Marketing, Communications and Development for the Bundanon Trust. She states that her career has been built on “energy and passion, my love of the arts and a degree of commercial pragmatism that occasionally helps make the impossible possible”. Ms Dezarnaulds will serve for the balance of the term which Ms Christie would otherwise have served, namely until the 2105 Annual General Meeting of the Trust.
  • RajNandacopy Mr Raj Nanda has been appointed, by unanimous decision of the Elected Directors, to the position of Appointed Director, to hold office until the 2015 Annual General Meeting of the Trust. Mr Nanda is a Bachelor of Economics (Double Major in Economics and Accounting) and a Master of Business Administration. He is Chief Executive Officer of Art Equity Australia and has previously held senior finance and portfolio management positions with UBS Warburg Australia and Macquarie Bank Limited.

Mr Carroll said “I extend the Trust’s sincere thanks to Don and Robyn for their long and greatly valued contributions to the Trust Board. I welcome Kate and Raj to the Board and the skills and experience which they bring to it. I hope that their terms of office will be both enjoyable and fulfilling for them.”
