On 30 November 2024 the National Trust's Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at the S.H. Ervin Gallery and the 2025 Board of Directors were elected by National Trust (NSW) members.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at S.H. Ervin Gallery on the day and to all members who voted in the election of the Board of Directors.
The Annual General Meeting provides members with the opportunity to hear the President’s report from the last 12 months and engage with the Board of Directors.
Recipients of the National Trust Honours Awards were also announced at the Annual General Meeting, with attendees celebrating the outstanding contribution from our volunteers and staff, including two new Honorary Life Members, Annette Blinco from the Women’s Committee, and former National Trust of Australia (NSW) Board member John Richardson from the Conservation Policies Taskforce.
National Trust (NSW) Chief Executive Officer Debbie Mills presented an overview of the Strategic Plan 2025-2029 while Collections Manager Rebecca Pinchin had a selection of significant items from the Collections Appeal for attendees to view. The Annual General Meeting also provided the opportunity to see striking works from the Portia Geach Memorial Award exhibition, currently on display in the S.H. Ervin Gallery.
In accordance with the National Trust of Australia (New South Wales) Act 1990, our members are invited to elect six Board Directors annually and all Board Members then elect our office bearers. A special mention and thank you to our retiring board members, Susan Hunt, Lisa Newell and William Oates. We’re extremely thankful for Susan’s wealth of knowledge in curation and philanthropy and Lisa’s expertise in town planning and government. We are also very grateful for William’s invaluable contribution to archives and heritage.
