Come along to Wine & Jazz in the Garden at the Norman Lindsay Gallery. Get your friends together to enjoy good music, good wine and good times!

The Norman Lindsay Jazz in the Garden festival returns! This highly anticipated event is not just for the hardcore jazz enthusiast or wine connoisseur, but for everyone who enjoys a quality afternoon of wine, jazz, culture and friends.

This year winemakers and brewers come from both large and boutique wineries. More than 25 varieties of wines, boutique beers, local food producers and cider tastings will be on show for sampling and purchase. Stallholders include the likes of: Hillbilly Cider, Renzaglia Wines, Megalong Creek Estate, Karu Distillery, De Beaurepaire Wines, Rosnay Organic, and The little Coffee Co.

Springwood Rotary will be their serving up a hot sausage sizzle, or guests can pack a picnic or order a cheese or antipasto platter for two to pick up on the day. Purchase a special Norman Lindsay Gallery Sphinx etched wine glass to take home as a momento of the day.

The festival will feature performances by the renowned Gary Daley quartet, showcasing some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians: Gary Daley, piano and accordion, James Greening, trombone & pocket trumpet, Lloyd Swanton, double bass, Nic Cecire on drums and special guest vocalist Dan Barnett, one of Australia’s premiere jazz singers.

Adding to the ambiance, the festival will feature dance performances by the renowned Sydney Swing Katz, bringing an extra dose of energy and excitement to the event.

Whether guests are seasoned jazz aficionados or simply looking for a great afternoon of quality entertainment with friends and family, Jazz in the Garden promises something for everyone to enjoy. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the National Trust Norman Lindsay Gallery in the Blue Mountains, this event is a must-attend for all enthusiasts of jazz, wine, and camaraderie.

Important event details

The Norman Lindsay Jazz in the Garden festival runs from 11am (12 noon start) – 4pm on Saturday 25 May 2024.

  • This is an outdoor all-weather event
  • Under 18’s must be accompanied by a paying adult
  • BYO picnic is permitted
  • BYO alcohol is not permitted, beverages will be available for purchase onsite on the day
  • No general entry Gallery admissions are available on the day. Special event admission only.

 

How to book your tickets

All tickets include entry to the gallery, grounds, and the artists Norman Lindsay’s, etching and painting studios, with volunteers onsite all day for short tours of the studios.

Early booking is encouraged to secure preferred rates, as tickets sold at the gate will incur higher fees.

  • Pre-booked tickets: National Trust members $40, adults $45, concession $42, under 18s (must be accompanied by an adult) $20 + booking fee. Cheese and antipasto platters (serves two) $25. Norman Lindsay Gallery Sphinx etched wine glass $12.

Book via Eventbrite where possible, to guarantee a spot.
