This autumn, Museums of History NSW’s popular Collections on Tour series travels to two historic National Trust (NSW) properties.

In 2026, the National Trust (NSW) is delighted to once again collaborate with Museums of History NSW to present two expert-led Collections on Tour events.

Hosted in two unique locations, these expert-led illustrated presentations will draw on Museums of History NSW’s rich collections, including the Caroline Simpson Library Collection, State Archives Collection and museum collections.

An engaging Q&A session will follow each presentation and there will also be an opportunity for you to view original collection material such as wallpaper, trade catalogues, architectural pattern books and other rare sources.

After, guests are invited to explore the historic surrounds and learn more about our special places.

Select from two destinations, offering two fascinating topics:

  • Saumarez Homestead, Armidale – Making Home: A Short History of Houses, Interiors and Gardens in NSW
  • Everglades House & Gardens, Leura – A Brighter Past: A Short History of Colour in NSW Homes
