Join Hunter historian Ed Tonks, and the Friends of Grossmann & Brough Houses, for a tour along Hunter Street, Newcastle, once the site of many hotels, most now gone forever.

Well known Hunter historian, Ed Tonks, will lead us on a walking history stroll along Newcastle’s main thoroughfare, Hunter Street, once the site of 55 hotels, most now lost to time.

The local hotel was an important part of the community and tell the story of a community’s character.

Ed will talk about the histories and fascinating stories of the long street, an almost forgotten part of Newcastle’s rich history.

Meet at 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start at entry to former Civic Railway Station.

Please note: This tour involves street walking with some uneven pathways.
