Join Retford Park Head Gardener, Rebecca Bloomer, for a guided tour of the sprawling historic gardens.

This is an opportunity to experience Retford Park through a gardener’s eyes. You’ll have exclusive early morning access to enjoy the beautiful grounds without the crowds.

This walk offers a behind-the-scenes perspective on what captures a gardener’s attention: emerging growth, succession planting, long-term planning and the subtle changes that signal the arrival of a new season. Along the way, you’ll see all the seasonal highlights, learn about the heritage collections and significant trees that define Retford Park.

The tour concludes with a delicious morning tea on the front verandah overlooking the gardens.

For visitors wanting to make a day of it, book a guided tour of the house to hear the fascinating stories of James Fairfax’s impressive art and furniture collection and stop into Hearth by Moonacres café for lunch and refreshments. The Southern Highlands Regional Gallery Ngununggula is also located right next door.
