Help us raise $150,000 before 30 December 2025 to protect our history.

Time is running out for our vulnerable archives. From early photographs and film reels to maps, letters and audio recordings, our state’s story is told through fragile, irreplaceable records. The National Trust Archives house some of the most significant documentary records in the state. Many exist only in this collection and are at risk.

How your donation helps:

  • $180 Contributes to photo restoration
  • $500 Preserves deteriorating audio and film recordings
  • $1,000 Records an oral history, keeping a prominent voice alive
  • $5,000 Protect fragile parchments and rare books
  • $30,000 Makes the digitisation of our archives possible

“We have records from every suburb in NSW identifying items of heritage, and many of them don’t exist anywhere else. The information that we’re dealing with is only found here. We aim to digitise as much as we can to make it available to people to access, but we’re also running against time with certain formats”
James Bosanquet, National Trust Archives and Library Manager.

Safeguard our shared history before it’s too late.
