HELP US PROTECT OUR TIMELESS TREASURES

The National Trust (NSW) is custodian to over 60,000 items, one of the largest and most historically-significant collections in Australia. A treasure trove of items can be experienced first-hand in our galleries, gardens and heritage houses across the state, from rural to regional areas and the city. These items provide an important window into the history of New South Wales. Many objects, however, are in urgent need of conservation. Without conservation, some items and their stories will be lost forever.

Help us raise $150,000 to preserve our heritage items

Through the generosity of our members and supporters, we need to raise $150,000 by 31 December 2024 to conserve our timeless treasures and preserve their stories for now and for future generations.

How your donation can help:

  • $75 will provide materials and specialised cleaning equipment for our precious sculptures.
  • $500 covers the replacement of non-UV protective glass with UV filtering acrylic on selected artwork.
  • $1,000 contributes to the removal of surface dust, grime and other pollutants on oil paintings.
  • $3,000 enables cleaning and removal of biological growth, staining, and corrosion on bronze
  • $5,000 contributes to the painting-in of areas on artwork where surface paint has been lost.
  • $10,000 or more pays for the comprehensive treatment of artwork including washing, re-mounting, and frame repair.
Contributes to the conservation of textiles and the comprehensive treatment of objects including sculpture and artworks.
