Experience a new and intimate tour of the Keighleys’ eclectic art collection within the elegant setting of Golden Vale.
Former owners, the Keighley’s, curated Golden Vale with a significant art and furniture collection that reflected their interests and passions and perfectly complements the elegant 1860s homestead.
Spanning the early colonial era through to contemporary times, the art collection includes works by:
- Pro Hart, the father of the outback painting movement
- Fred Williams, one of Australia’s most important artists and a major twentieth-century landscapist
- William Gould, Liverpool-born and transported to Australia as a convict in 1827, later becoming a pivotal early colonial artist
- John Perceval, an Australian landscape painter and member of the ‘Angry Penguins’, a group that redefined Australian art in the 1940s
- Ray Crooke, a landscape painter and winner of the 1969 Archibald Prize
…and many more.
Your visit includes a guided introduction, morning or afternoon tea served in the charming conservatory, and access to the gardens.
