Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office 30 minutes prior to each run.
The ticket office is located at the Moonta Mines Railway station, next to the Moonta Mines Museum
Inclement weather
On days when the temperature is forecast above 37 degrees, and on declared fire ban days, the train does not operate.
In stormy weather with heavy rain runs, the train can also be cancelled with regard to safety concerns.
Online Bookings
At the current time, particularly heading into the summer months, we are not using an online booking system as unfortunately we cannot guarantee the train will run every day. We thank for your understanding
