Come and enjoy Samson House during the Australian Heritage Festival. Buy a Chrysanthemum plant struck from those growing in the in gardens, just in time for Mother’s Day.
Take the opportunity to explore the house and enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea on the veranda or in the gardens.
The Chrysanthemum plants at Samson House were donated by the Western Australian Chrysanthemum Society in 2018 to help the garden volunteers demonstrate what the flower beds would have looked like in the 1940s. Fred Samson is known to have grown Chrysanthemums, Dahlia, Sweet peas and Gladiolus for exhibiting in the Fremantle Horticultural Society shows. Funds raised from the sale of Chrysanthemum plants will go towards purchasing ‘Dinner plate’ dahlias shown in family films, to continue the development of the flower garden.
