Through exhibitions and education programs, as well as making research documentation available to the community of Western Australia, the National Trust works to promote knowledge, awareness, understanding and commitment to our natural, Aboriginal and historic heritage.

The unique objects held by the National Trust comprise only a small number of collections, though our paper-based archives are quite extensive, with information on over 3000 heritage places. In 2007 the National Trust deaccessioned objects held that had no documented provenance, reducing the number of items held to those associated with a Trust managed place.
