National Trust Property Closures for Volunteer Wellbeing

Media Release

For the wellbeing of our volunteers and our visitors, National Trust properties in Western Australia will be closed from 5pm Friday 13 March 2020.

This step is a precautionary measure against COVID-19 to ensure National Trust volunteers, who are mostly 60 years of age and older, are protected from potential exposure.

The National Trust aims to reopen its properties on Tuesday 14th April 2020 should it be safe to do so.

Properties impacted:

  • Avondale Farm
  • East Perth Cemeteries
  • Ellensbrook
  • No 1 Pump Station
  • Old Blythewood
  • Peninsula Farm
  • Samson House
  • Strawberry Hill
  • Wonnerup
  • York Courthouse Complex

Please note that the closure of onsite cafés is up to the business owners of these sites. The National Trust does not take responsibility for these sites but has notified the business owners of the steps it is taking.
