Following the announcements about the need for social distancing as part of the coronavirus response efforts, there have been a number of changes to our business operations.
National Trust’s places throughout Western Australia have been temporarily closed and all events have been cancelled until further notice. In the interest of keeping all of our staff safe, we have also closed our offices at the Old Observatory with staff now working from home.
Though our places are currently closed, most are surrounded by beautiful gardens and open spaces. Fresh air, sunlight and being in nature can have numerous physical and mental health benefits and finding moments of serenity is incredibly important at the moment. Keeping within the guidelines announced by the government, should you decide to take advantage of the beautiful parks and gardens that surround our places and behold the beauty of autumn as the leaves fall and weather starts to cool, if you see others, wave and smile at them from a distance.
And while it might not be possible to visit our places in person, you can still learn all about them here and stay up to date on what’s happening by signing up to our email list.
As always, I want to thank you for all you do to care for Western Australia’s cultural and natural heritage. Your ongoing support for our mission is greatly appreciated.
We wish you and yours continued safety and good health.
