Yarralumla is a large suburb covering many historical and heritage-listed sites.
This walk will cover just a small portion of what is featured in our latest brochure ‘Yarralumla’. From the now vacated Forestry precinct (image above courtesy of the ACT Heritage Library 000368), we will pass the former CSIRO site, Brickworks and access the interesting incinerator in the grounds of the Royal Canberra Golf Club, designed by Eric Milton Nicholls who worked with Walter Burley Griffin. Our guide will also point out the mature tree planting in this area.
Meet at the Former Australian Forestry School, Banks Street opposite Schlich Street, Yarralumla.
Sunday 22 June 9.30-11.30 am
