With a commitment to making the history and heritage of our national capital accessible to everyone, the National Trust (ACT) is producing a new series of  self-guided heritage walks and tour brochures in downloadable format.  New additions are uploaded regularly.  Printed copies are available from the National Trust (ACT) office and the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre.

The National Trust (ACT) acknowledges funding from the ACT Government in the production of some of these brochures.

Walter Burley Griffin Society – Following the Griffin Trail in Canberra Brochure

The Walter Burley Griffin Society’s Canberra Chapter has provided the Trust with a copy of their “Following the Griffin Trail in Canberra” Brochure. A copy is available here.

The “Griffin Trail” reveals what remains of Walter and Marion Griffin’s grand plans for Australia’s national capital. Starting at the National Capital Exhibition at Regatta Point, you can pick up a hard copy of this booklet which identifies 8 sites. If you wish to see them all it will take you around 3-4 hours to drive around the full trail.

More information on the Walter Burley Griffin Society is available at https://www.griffinsociety.org/.

Older Versions of National Trust Brochures

The previous version of some brochures are available for download below. Some are still available in hard copy from the National Trust (ACT) office. Please contact us if you would like to check. Also note that some of these brochures were produced as far back as 2009 and may not be fully up to date.

Click on any of the list below to get a copy of the brochure (note that the brochures were prepared for a fold out two sided A3 version for the hard copy brochures, so you will need to re-create your own version from the four A4 pages provided in the on-line version).
