Gunghalin Homestead is a former pastoral property dating from the 19th Century. The Homestead was built in two major stages – a rendered brick Georgian house built in 1862-65 and the grand sandstone addition of 1883 by Edward Crace.
Thanks to CSIRO and Soldier On for access to Gungahlin Homestead. Soldier On supports those who have served by focusing on their physical and mental health, their community and their future and will be collecting gold coin donations at the Open Day.
There will be stalls, entertainment and refreshments available.
Gungahlin Homestead is located at 80 Bellenden Road, Crace. Bookings are not required. Collect a ticket for a tour of the Homestead from the National Trust tent.
The Open Day is supported with funding made available by the ACT Government under the ACT Heritage Grants Program.
