Have you driven past Michelago on your way to the snow or the far south coast and wondered what is there? This is your opportunity to find out!
Our first stop will be the Michelago Cemetery where our guides will be Kelly Paxman whose ancestors, the McTernans, are buried here and Tony Maple who has researched families buried at Michelago. We will be joined by special guest, Liam Cotter, whose family has been long associated with the area.
We will then drive the short distance to Michelago village for morning tea and to meet members of the Michelago community who will share history and their stories at the heritage-listed Michelago Railway Station.
The Michelago and Region Community Association will be providing a delicious country-style morning tea included in your tickets but there will also be a coffee cart if you would like to purchase your coffee fix!
We expect to finish at midday but you might like to stay on for lunch at the Michelago General Store.
This is a self-drive tour so detailed directions will be provided after booking. Michelago is about 55km from Civic and should take 45-50 minutes from there.
