Cooma is an important town in the history of the region and, indeed, Australia. On this day trip by coach, we will discover the history of the Snowy Hydro Scheme and learn about the Snowy 2.0 project. Then we will visit, and have lunch at, the Cooma Monaro Railway Museum and later visit the NSW State Correctional Museum. There will also be a guided tour on the coach around historic parts of the town.
Tour which will suit most people as there is limited walking involved. The coach will pick up at Lyneham (8.00 am) and City (8.10 am) and Deakin (8.20 am)
Members of the National Trust, U3A and Friends of the National Library $180 pp, includes a BBQ lunch and home made goodies for morning tea.
