From arsenic to apple cider vinegar, there was once a potion for every ill. From toothache to gout, no ailment went untreated—at least in theory. Step back in time and discover the curious world of historical medicine as Dr Marvel brings the potions, pills and practices of the past to life in an entertaining and informative talk.

Dr Marvel will be appearing promptly at 11.30am and 1.30pm.

While you’re here, explore twelve rooms in the main building, four display pavilions, the blacksmith, police cell and laundry, all set within beautiful heritage gardens. Enjoy a sausage sizzle or Devonshire tea, and browse the gift shop stocked with local crafts.
