Volunteers are at the heart of our organisation, and we have Volunteer Awards to ensure volunteer contributions across the National Trust of South Australia are noticed and celebrated.

Our Volunteer Awards acknowledge outstanding service, exceptional achievements, and long-term commitment. The award types are:

 

Honorary Life Membership

Presented at the National Trust AGM, the Honorary Life Membership is our highest volunteer honour, awarded for outstanding service that deserves statewide recognition. Recipients of this award have made a lasting and exceptional contribution to National Trust of South Australia.

Dr Mildred Mocatta Award

Presented at the National Trust AGM, the Dr Mildren Mocatta aware is named in honour of Dr Mildred Mocatta, a pioneer in heritage preservation. This prestigious award recognises volunteer work of significant impact, whether across a long period or through an extraordinary contribution to a project, cause, region, or community.

Achievement Award

Awarded at the local level, usually at the Branch Meet-Up, this award recognises a significant achievement on a project or body of work. It celebrates initiative, creativity, and dedication that has made a meaningful impact within a branch, site, or community.

Service Award

Awarded locally, the Service Award is presented at key milestones of continuous service—5, 10, 15, and 20+ years—this award honours the commitment and loyalty of volunteers who generously contribute their time and talents year after year. It is awarded locally by branches or site committees.

How to Nominate
Nomination forms for all awards can be downloaded above. If you require suport, please contact us by either telephone (08) 8202 9200 or email admin@nationaltrustsa.org.au. Once submitted, the application will be assessed. If the application is successful, the Nominator and the Nominee will be notified in writing.

These awards reflect the passion, dedication, and enduring impact of our volunteer community. We thank and congratulate all who give so generously to keep South Australia’s heritage alive.
