Nature Festival | Nature Storytelling: Young Kate

Gather in and hear a nature-based story told the old way-without a book. Then make a tribute to beauty using the bounty of the garden.

A Storytelling and Ephemeral Art experience for Families

A cosy hill-top bungalow that overlooks a 4-acre garden is the perfect place to hear a story about the power of nature told in the old way-without a book.

‘Young Kate’, the story that will be told, was written by English author Eleanor Farjeon. It tells of a servant girl whose life is forever changed by her encounter with the Green Woman, River King and Dancing Boy.

After the story we will venture outside and use natural materials to make artworks inspired by the story.

This experience will appeal to those who love stories, music, being outside and making.
