The National Trust welcomes nominations of places or objects for classification. These might be individual buildings, groups of buildings, objects such as old railway carriages or bridges, significant trees, gardens or places of great environmental importance.
Nominations will be assessed by a panel of experts in different aspects of heritage conservation.
Successful nominations will be described as Classified by the National Trust of SA. Classified items will not be legally protected in any way.
The purpose of classification is to raise public awareness of our heritage, and to preserve a permanent record of places that may be lost sometime in the future.
