Minlaton Museum

Built about 1889 the Museum reflects the history of the settlement days and pioneering community.

The Museum located in part of an old General Store built about 1889 has on display historic and photographic records of the Minlaton district including Farming, Shipping, District Council, Schools and Churches in and around the area. The Museum is  gathering a collection of ‘eulogies’ and ‘genealogies’ of past and notable residents and several locally written published works and  maintain a room dedicated to documents and artefacts of our local aviation hero – Captain Harry Butler.
