Ayers House is privileged to open a new exhibition entitled “Life in a Grand Estate” from 23rd September to the 16th October 2025. This special exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the elegance and daily rhythms of Edwardian life within one of Adelaide’s grandest heritage homes. Ayers House will be open to the public from 10.00am – 3.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for the exhibition period.

Adding further depth to the experience, our Curator, Sandy Whitelaw, will present a fascinating lecture series, delving into the social and cultural fabric of Edwardian life:
- The Fashions of the Edwardian Women
Wednesday 24 September, 11.00am – 12.00pm
- Working in Service during the Edwardian Period
Tuesday 30 September, 11.00am – 12.00pm
These lectures will be repeated respectively on Wednesday 8 October and Thursday 16 October.

Through the parade, you’ll be introduced to the fascinating personalities who lived and worked within a grand estate, offering a rare glimpse into the lifestyle, traditions, and events of this remarkable period in time.
