Weaving the Threads – Stronger Family History Connections

FamilyHistoryWA (FHWA) knows the challenges when researching your ancestral stories. 'Open House' week offers featured talks, & skilled support from our volunteers to assist with research tools & techniques to help connect elusive threads, to make your family story tapestry strong & rich in detail.

Have you put your family history project aside after exhausting your information avenues, met with dead ends, misleading information, or just not sure how to start?
FamilyHistoryWA (FHWA) is a nonprofit community-based organisation, the largest in Western Australia, one of the best genealogical societies in Australia, possibly the world – and it’s on your doorstep!
We invite you to ‘Open House’ week at our Family History Research Centre in Bayswater to explore the facility & its wide range of membership resources & services. Experienced members will conduct guided tours, demonstrate search techniques available at the Centre, on the website & elsewhere. Get leads on methods to organise records & digital files, & of workshops & presentations designed to upskill family history researchers.
Explore our website & view ‘Open House’ presentations, such as the progress of the ‘People of Western Australia’s Ghost Towns’ project, & a follow up to the recent ‘Explore your Irish Roots’ seminar.
