Welcome to the Australian Heritage Festival in South Australia

Each year the Australian Heritage Festival brings heritage to life. In 2025, the celebrations return in April and May.

Working in partnership with South Australian event organisers, the Festival offers a diverse program of special events that uniquely showcase and celebrate our natural, built and cultural heritage.

The 2025 festival theme is Unearthed – revealing the past, bringing to light lesser-known histories and stories, and unearthing knowledge to empower younger generations as custodians of culture and tradition.
