Touring to connect with old Natimuk district school sites

There are so many sites in so many areas that were once a place of learning - where teachers and students often travelled to experience teaching and being taught how to read, write and enjoy the company of others in what was often an isolated location.

Natimuk and district was one such area – small schools around the township catered for the many families who toiled on their land and worked hard to get an education for their children – something that was often not afforded to the parents and grandparents of the students.

The small bus will take you on a journey to visit these varied sites – all with a story to tell – some with buildings still standing alone, some with perhaps just a marker or trees to remind visitors of what once stood on this piece of land.

Ros has a wonderful knowledge and history of so many of these sites – we welcome your enquiry to this outing which will require a minimum number of participants to run and a maximum number to fit on the bus!

Along the way we will enjoy afternoon tea.
