Stitch in Time Exhibition

Stitch in Time, an exhibition looking at craft and folk art history in the Macedon Ranges Shire created in collaboration with the Kyneton Historical Society will be running at Kyneton Museum during the Heritage Festival this year.

The exhibition demonstrates the cultural ecology of the Macedon Ranges region, highlighting the artists, and their stories. Through cultural collections such as this we not only gain glimpses into the everyday life of the people of our region throughout the centuries, but we also see the impacts of global events.

Connecting our community by interpreting and celebrating our regions stories through craft, informs lifelong learning through the challenge of taking up new skills. Children can learn to knit or crochet and enjoy colouring and playing with replicas of Victorian-era paper dolls.

Celebrating 50 years of the Victorian Heritage Register
